of abandonment

time and time again
we search for light and breath
but in our search
we somehow adapt
to our surroundings
and complacency sets in

Searching

I will roam in your wilderness.
In your vastness I shall be free.
I will call out your name
until the echoes blend in harmony.
For if I search in vain
all will not be lost.
For the chance of your sweet love
I would gladly pay the cost.
itself penetrates the viewers thoughts, melding the two into a union of shared empathy. The controlled breathing technique of conspiration can be aptly applied to the profound bonding of the artist and the viewer. Do you not feel your own breathing change subtly or sharply as your eyes behold and move over the surface of a painting, sculpture, or other work of fine art. If only for a brief moment the artist and viewer become one.
The term 'conspiration' denotes a certain technique used to harmonize breathing between two or more persons. The knowledge of this technique has been handed down through the ages. When applied correctly, conspiration can be used to successfully control a given individual's psyche, even his or her sexual desires. Should not a work of art also accomplish these same goals through color, brushstrokes, geometric patterns and their specific placement, as well as figurative representations of the human form?  Art should be a very intimate experience between the artist and the viewer.
A great work of art gives the viewer a deep look into the artist's psyche while subconsciously the art

The Perfect "8" by Randy Thurman

What appears by some to be called the "perfect 10" in today's society is actually a corrupting view and a distortion of the way of the universe. The things we sometimes call faults are the treasures so many overlook. Perfection can only be derived from imperfection. This is the great wisdom of sages such as loa-tzu, founder of Taoism, that so many have forgotten.

The number "8" has been often revered in sexual terms. Sexuality and erotic play have clearly been studied as both art and science in Eastern culture. The study of the eight valleys typifies the Chinese probing of such sexual matters.  The I Ching, or Book of Changes, is an ancient text that deals with divining the future through games of chance by utilizing the eight diagrams, or trigrams. Each diagram indicates a different tendency in movement. In the soft martial arts the term Pa Kua actually means the eight diagrams, which are imagined placed on the surface of the floor, followed by performers during their practice. The term Pa Kua also represents the constant drama of change that is the life force driving nature throughout the cosmos.

When we view a work of art should it not excite and arouse our senses and at the same time be in a state of constant change? Many years ago Vincent Van Gogh intimated 'is it not intensity of thought rather than tranquility of touch in which we are seeking?'. Art in its very nature should be dynamic like the ever changing universe capturing the essence of our existence; capturing the perfect "8".
upward we swim
through the cold waters of reality
searching for the light above
gasping for the essential
anxious to breath in life
as we penetrate
the murky depths
and realize escape
our bodies struggle
to take in that
which has been deprived
we find the light
is still out of reach
high above us
it still remains
so we lie there
in the chilly water
praying for wings
so as to fly
and find it's warmth
Artist
Art
Viewer
Why does the artist paint?
Is it not the artists main goal to express
some thing, to convey some message
or meaning to the viewer?  Without the
viewer there is no need for the painting.
If there is no need for the painting,
then there is no need for the artist.
"The Philosophy behind the Art of Conspiration"
  by Randy Thurman
This symbiotic triad of components works in almost any situation, whether dealing with art, nature or economics.  A shared empathy between these three components of the triangle is essential to creating the ideal situation, facilitating the Art of Conspiration.
In an ideal situation, when this triangular convergence of art, artist and viewer occurs, it produces the Art of Conspiration.  The art, artist, and viewer form this triangle, and if we remove any one component there is only non-existence.
